Letter From Joe

My fellow Tennessee Sporting Clays enthusiasts,

On September 1, 2023, the Tennessee State Sporting Clays Association (TSCA) will begin the process of selecting the site for the 2024 Tennessee State Championship. To vote in the site selection process, you must reside in Tennessee and have a minimum of 300 registered targets in the past 12 months. As the proud Owner and General Manager of Cross Creek Clays in Palmyra, TN, I’m reaching out to respectfully ask for your support.

Why vote for Cross Creek Clays? We are a proven venue with a history of successful shoots in our resume, including the Southeast Regional (683 shooters). We’ve hosted the 2020 Tennessee State Championship as well as several State FITASC and Five-Stand Championships. We have been selected by the National Sporting Clays Association as one of the “Top Ten High Volume Clubs” for 2022, throwing 416,475 registered targets. That’s an impressive feat for a club that’s only been in operation for 5 years.

If Cross Creek Clays is selected for the 2024 State Championship, we will bring in an internationally recognized target setter, Joe Scull. We also have, what I consider to be the best shoot administrator around joining the team to run the event, Rhonda Barfield. In addition, I also have one of the best marketing firms in the area (Thrive Creative Group) standing by to make the State Championship the best it’s ever been. We also promise to give back to the shooters! Our plan is to have drawings to win free entries into the main event – one free entry will be selected from each group of 25 participants to pre-register online.

We offer three meticulously designed courses, covered stands to protect shooters from the elements, a 7,000 sq ft lodge complete with a fully outfitted pro shop and a 3,000 sq ft event space, all surrounded by the rolling hills of the scenic Tennessee countryside. Our courses encompass a diverse set of terrain which enables our target setters to really challenge the shooters.

Our state-of-the-art facilities, challenging courses, and picturesque surroundings make Cross Creek Clays a truly unparalleled experience and one of the best, if not the best, clay shooting facilities in the country. But don’t just take my word for it – ask anyone who has shot here.

I look forward to the upcoming 2023 Championship this September at Crossville Shooting Sports Park and hope to see you there.

Let’s make 2024 another memorable year by hosting the Tennessee State Championship at Cross Creek Clays!

Every vote counts. Let’s shoot for the best!

Regards,

Joseph Calabrace
